CLASSROOMS

Each of our classrooms has been intentionally organized and arranged to provide children with enriching experiences within all domains of development.

INFANT CLASSROOM

Our infant classroom is our most intimate classroom, with 8 children, and 2 teachers. In this classroom, rather than following a daily schedule, we follow the needs of the individual children.

We follow wake windows and feeding schedules, as well as practice independent sleeping skills. Children are working on grasping and interacting with toys, rolling over, sitting and crawling, feeding themselves, and of course bonding with teachers and friends.

ONE YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

This classroom is set up for children between the ages of 10 - 24 months old, with up to 3 teachers, and 15 children.

A daily schedule is implemented, with children following a regular routine. In this classroom, we are building our gross motor skills with climbers, bikes, a gymnastic bar, and plenty of space to roam and move around. We are also working on our verbal skills and social emotional regulation.

TWO YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

This classroom is ideal for children between the ages of 22 months and 3 years of age. In this spacious classroom, we typically have 3 teachers and 18 children enrolled.

Our expectations increase in this classroom, with children working on self help and initiative skills. It is our goal that children become more independent by practicing wiping their own nose, getting up and down from the table by themselves, practicing putting on dress up clothing, and beyond! Following a routine is very important, as well as consistency in following through with challenging behaviors.

PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM

This classroom is set up for children that are 3 years of age. There are typically 2 teachers, and 20 students enrolled.

Within this classroom, lots of play is occurring, along with the implementation of daily curricular activities. Children begin to work on letter recognition, along with tracing and spelling their own name.

PRE-K CLASSROOM

Children transition into this classroom around the age of 4, which typically has a mix of 4 and 5 year olds enrolled. There will be 2 teachers present, with 20 children.

Although this classroom is still primarily play based, we do implement curriculum through intentional activities several times throughout the day. Along with a language and literature lesson in the morning, children will also have a math lesson in the afternoon. It is our goal to have children reading before going to kindergarten!
